Mr Hisashi Takeuchi has had an illustrious career with Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) since 1986, beginning in the Overseas Marketing Department, Europe Group of SMC. In 1996, he transitioned to the Oceania Group and was promoted in 1997 to Director (Marketing and Sales) of Suzuki Australia PTY Ltd. Over the years, he has held various leadership roles, including Deputy Managing Director and Managing Director of Magyar Suzuki Corporation, and positions in the Global Automobile Planning Department, India Automobile Department, Global Business Administration & Planning Division, and Asia Automobile Marketing. Since April 2022, he has served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

Mr Takeuchi holds a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, Yokohama National University, Japan.
