Mr Ashok Lavasa, IAS (Retd), brings over 43 years of distinguished service in the Indian Administrative Service. He has held various key positions, including Election Commissioner of India, Secretary in the Ministries of Finance, Environment, Forests and Climate Change, and Civil Aviation. Mr Lavasa has also served as Principal Secretary and Financial Commissioner in multiple departments, including Renewable Energy Sources, Power, and Industries, as well as Managing Director of Haryana State Federation of Co-operative Sugar Mills Limited, Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation, and Haryana Tourism Corporation. He has also served as the District Magistrate of Gurugram and Chief Coordinator of Industries. Mr Lavasa was Vice President of the Asian Development Bank from 2020 to 2023, where he played a significant role in regional development.

He holds a postgraduate degree in English from the University of Delhi, an MBA from Southern Cross University in New South Wales, Australia, and an M. Phil in Defence and Strategic Studies.
